Dan Colen | Trash

Hunted Projects has received a copy of Dan Colen's publication Trash, published by Gagosian on the occasion of Dan Colen's exhibition Trash, at Gagosian Gallery Rome, 2011. Published in 2014, Trash includes a fascintating essay by Josh Smith that discusses Colen's working process behind these works and his time spent in Colen's studio overseeing these works being made and transported out of the studio. Throughout the 304 page publication, an extensive selection of close up images of each work is featured, giving the reader a valuable insight to the surfaces of these works. With annotated lists accompanying each work, the viewer is given the exact list of found remnants that span each works surface.
